Welcome to Write Better-Faster
I’m sure you’re all wondering: what exactly is this class?
Let’s start with the title. Write Better-Faster. It has two parts, for me. One is, I want to help you write the kind of books that will make you feel successful, and hopefully to write those books faster than you are currently writing them, if that's what you want.
But the main purpose behind this class is the idea that not everyone will write better (or faster, or better-faster) in the same way. Not all of us will be more productive with the same strategies. Not all of us will plot great books in the same way. There is no one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to writing, organization, productivity, strategic planning… nothing.
Everyone's "better-faster" is different.
The way most of us figure out how to be more efficient with our time is through trial and error. But I’m here to argue that there’s a more effective way.
Know your brain. Know how your brain is wired differently from everyone else (and what neuropatterns are important to your daily life) and let your own wiring help to guide you toward the right strategies and processes for you.
In other words, how you will be successful is different from everyone else. Instead of copycatting and hoping you luck into the right answer (or worse, failing and assuming there's something wrong with you because you can't make some famous author's strategy work), let’s approach this with a little strategic thinking. One, by knowing how brains that are wired like yours are patterned for success. And learning the common pitfalls of those wirings—places you might already be getting stuck and not knowing why.
